Enjoying cooking with Magic Bullet March 14, 2010 Pasha (Columbus, USA) I bought the magic bullet one year back. It is still working great.
My wife mainly use it for grinding the soaked rice to make fine paste which she uses to prepare breakfast. I don't know whether this blender is meant for that, but it works just great for us. We are well satisfied with this product. She also use them for making vegetable paste especially with grated coconut, and it does its wonderful job. Our cooking will be incomplete without the Magic Bullet.
Have had it for 2 years and it rocks! March 9, 2010 MachMomma I purchased my bullet over two years ago. I use it everyday and have beat the tar out of it. I love how small it is. I plan on buying another one when this one finally breaks. I would suggest getting two blades. It seems like one is always dirty. Try whip cream and a brownie. Chocolate mouse in 30 seconds. I use it mostly for my smoothies and health drinks. I am starting to eat raw and plan on taking the bullet with me on our family vacation to Disneyland.
Great smoothie maker March 7, 2010 mom in sc I received the magic bullet as a gift several years ago. I was not thrilled with it, as I could not imagine needing to use it. However, I somehow pulled it out of storage about 4 years ago and started making breakfast smoothies- probably trying to break my addiction to buying smoothies at Jambajuice. I have been using it religiously every day since, and it has been very useful. I didn't read the directions, so I was late in discovering the need to replace the rubber rings when smoothie started oozing out during blending. After more than 4 years of daily use, my magic bullet has finally broken- with the plastic blades self-destructing and making a horrible sound, so I'm buying another one. It is an easy way to make smoothies with less mess than using a standard blender. No, it doesn't blend everything in 10 seconds, but it's a great way to make a quick smoothie in the morning before work. I do wish that you could order replacement parts, such as the rubber rings, but for around $50, what do you expect?
I only grind grains and beans with it! February 13, 2010 V. Goins (Oregon) Well, when we first purchased this, we tried to send it back. It didn't do anything that even the commercials SHOWED it doing! You have to take the cup part out of the base and shake it to redistribute the contents. I can't even puree baked vegetables in it very well! HOWEVER, it does a fantastic job powdering grains and beans for my son's super porridge. BUT--NOT in large quantities! You have to use the little cup. It won't puree baby food very well, doesn't puree ripe fruit, won't chop anything (it just puree's what's near the blade and doesn't pull food down from the top of the cup so it remains whole), and you have to add a LOT of water to get it to make smoothies or, well, anything else for the matter. NOT worth your money unless you are specifically making super porridge (it DOES NOT grind coffee beans very well because of the oil--JUST DRY GRAINS AND BEANS).
great travel blender January 24, 2010 Mary Carter (Hollywood) I like to make smoothies, but travel a lot, so I got this to take along with me. Not as powerful as a "home blender" but certainly good enough to work for a few days when I'm traveling. I would certainly recommend it for that. Cleaning is not as easy as the ads say, but it's not bad. I think it's a great deal for the price.
