Product Description Pops with hot air, not oil, for a healthy, low calorie treat. This popper offers a faster, healthier, and more economical choice than microwave bag popcorn. Use regular or gourmet popcorn with terrific results virtually no unpopped kernels. Up to 18 cup
Amazon.com Review Plug in Presto's PopLite and the party begins. In less than 2-1/2 minutes you'll have up to 18 cups--two large bowlfuls--of fluffy popcorn with virtually no unpopped kernels. And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That's not to say you can't add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter melter. Simply put in the desired amount of margarine or butter (room temperature is best), and it melts from the heat produced during the popping process. The clear plastic cover and cup, which must stay on during popping so the popped corn doesn't fly all over the room, easily remove for hand cleaning with warm, soapy water. No other clean-up is required. While a few unpopped kernels spring out the chute as the machine begins to heats up, the chute does a good job of directing the popped corn into a bowl. The popper measures 14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches, and is identical to Presto's Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper except for color and logo. Presto covers the PopLite with a two-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

Presto 04820 PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper March 18, 2010 Stephanie Kashevaroff I purchased this air popper in December 2009. It blew up after 3 months. It just started smoking like crazy and then died. This is the biggest waste of money. Very disappointed!!!!!
Great little popper March 16, 2010 C. Hobbs When I couldn't find any hotair poppers in local stores, I ordered from Amazon - and got the style I wanted at the best online price. It does the job: no oil and 99% of the kernels pop big and fluffy. To keep the kernels from blasting out when the popping first starts, I tip the whole unit back slightly (about 5 degrees). Once there are enough popped ones to block the unpopped kernels from rocketing out, I set it down straight and wait for my favorite comfort food to finish popping.
Works really well March 14, 2010 T. Lewis I had a hot air popper many years ago, and had thrown it away because I was using my microwave. I bought a new microwave and it wasn't doing such a great job popping corn, so I bought one of these. It works great! Very few unpopped kernels, and you can add oil and salt to your own taste. I use "Pam" to coat the popped corn with a light coat, and then I can use flavored popcorn salt to add a little zing.
Read the tips from other reviewers about preheating and other operational suggestions. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Love Love Love It March 12, 2010 Elizabeth Kitt (New York, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a huge popcorn fan....And It's always so easy to microwave a bag of popcorn anytime of the day. But I find even the natural flavor has a greasy taste to them. So when I found the hot air corn popper I couldn't wait to get it. I love this machine. I read reviews of corn popping everywhere and hot kernels flying everywhere. I have not had a problem whatsoever. The popcorn is perfectly popped and very few kernels are left. I will be recommending this machine to all my family and friends.
Problems with Presto popcorn popper March 11, 2010 Doyl Burkett (RANCHO MIRAGE, CA, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Presto popcorn popper:
Leaves too many of the seeds still unpopped.
Blows popcorn beyond our big bowl onto the floor.
