I like this can opener, it has 2 big positives and 1 big negative. The positives are: 1)Cuts the can below the lid lip without leaving a sharp edge. 2) It has Cord Storage!...yea!
The big negative is that, even though it says "locked" when you press down the handle to open a can, you have to hold down the handle until it's done to open a can...boo!
All in all though, it's still the best can opener I have ever owned. If you can deal with the negative, it's worth getting.

This is a great product at a reasonable price. I love the way it opens cans without the sharp edges. I even use it to open the pull-top cans to eliminate the splatter when you yank the tab too quickly.

Doesn't open rounded can bottoms... December 29, 2008

This IS a great can-opener; the blade doesn't touch the food, it makes clean-cut safe edges, and is easy to use.
However, it will not remove the round-edged bottoms of cans (rounded by manufacturers for ease in can-stacking). I wanted to be able to remove tops and bottoms of cans, for ease in flattening/recycling, and was disappointed there was no fore-warning about this issue.
