It is unbelievable that you would ask me to review a purchase that I never received because the pressure canner model ordered is no longer available. It took several emails and about two weeks to get a credit from you because my card was charged the day of the order for the purchase that never materialized. I am still looking for a Presto pressure canner, but not on Amazon.com

One of the reasons I bought a pressure canner was because you could use it for pressure canning as well as boiling water bath canning. When I read the instruction manual for the canner, I found out it is not tall enough to do quarts in the boiling water method. You can only use it for pints in the boiling water method. I had to buy a boiling water canner to do quarts when I thought I would not have that additiional expense. The canner works fine for pressure canning but I am dissapointed I had to buy the second canner.

I have been using my mother-in-laws canner for the past 26 years.
It was old when she gave it to me! I decided I needed a second one this year to speed up my canning process. The new one is excellent. The fact that it is lighter makes a big difference also.
