This basting brush's silicone bristles with channels were designed to capture all the marinade ingredients -- and unlike traditional brushes, it's easy to clean. Having used the standby paint brush for years to baste the bird, coat the cookies, etc. Then trying to remove loose bristles from everthing else, this silicone brush is a gift from heaven!. It does the job very nicely and is simple to clean.

This is a welcome alternative to a typical basting brush in that it's flexible and easy to clean. My only qualm is that it tends to splatter sauce a bit, but it's still the best I've encountered.

I bought 2 of these, one for me and one for a friend. I've had a chance to use mine several times for roasts and BBQ and it performs very well. I like silicone for it's flexibility and the easy clean up it allows. I'll definitely keep adding products like this to my kitchen.

I bought this brush for my husband who makes waffles frequently. He had been using a bristle brush to coat the waffle maker, but the bristles started to fall off and would end up in the waffles.
I searched Amazon and read the reviews for Mario Batalli's silicone basting brush and decided to take the plunge.
I have not been disappointed yet. Coating the waffle maker is a breeze and it cleans up like a dream. Great product.
