Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Throw out that old sticky rolling pin. Non-stick silicone makes rolling dough and delicate pastries easy. Use palm of hands while rolling for reduced stress. The pin is 20 x 2 and counter-balanced for consistant roll. Easy-to-clean with damp cloth.

5 out of 5 stars it really doesn't stick!   November 30, 2008

i love this rolling pin. it has a good weight. not too light and not too heavy.

dough doesn't stick to it.

i used it to make sugar cookies with great results.

NOTE: the edges look like stainless steel, but are in fact plastic. not a big deal, but it would be nice it they were steel instead of just looking like it.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful non-stick rolling pin   April 19, 2008
Mary Jo Sminkey (Carlisle, PA USA)
After many years of traditional wood rolling pins, I decided I really wanted to get a silicon one for the non-stick properties, particularly since I am often working with fairly soft doughs that stick to wood rather easily (not to mention sticking to the pastry board!) I had planned to get one of the pins with handles but saw this one and thought it would be really nice to have all that extra width. And I've not had cause to regret it! This rolling pin works wonderfully and it's noticeably lighter than its handled relatives. I can get my breads rolled out much quicker and easier with just a small amount of flour, and used along with the SiliconeZone Large Pastry/Baking Mat I have a perfect setup for handling all my pastry and bread tasks. I keep the mat rolled around the pin and store them together, both clean up easily with just mild soap and water.

This is a great rolling pin. I would have rated this a five star, but it take some practice to get use to it. Now I like it better than my old pin that had handles.

5 out of 5 stars Where have you been all my life?   December 24, 2006

I'm a grandma so I have lots of decades of baking under my belt & I was one with my beautiful heavy fruitwood rolling pin. I now use it to crush walnuts & pecans. I LOVE this rolling pin. Even with the wood pin I didn't use the handles as I could manipulate it better by pressing on the solid part. Now this new pin is perfect. It, as stated, does not stick or you can roll a (floured) item, run/pass your hand back and forth once to lightly flour it (if nec-passing over the pin quickly fingers all the way around between rolls) Pressing down on it is softer on your hands than when you have to heavily roll with the hard wooden one. It is a satisfying long length and such an easy cleanup! I love it. Brilliant!
