In just 14 days, beginning and advanced brewers alike can enjoy a glass of premium, handcrafted beer with this home-brewing kit. The 2-1/2-gallon brewing keg features a pour tap and wide-mouth lid for easy cleaning by hand. Included with this starter kit are a can of West Coast Pale Ale mix, which produces twenty 12-ounce bottles of mild, full-bodied beer, and a single-use packet of booster, which contains all-natural carbohydrates that enhance flavor and boost alcohol content. The beer-making ingredients are simply mixed with water, left to brew in the keg at room temperature for a week, and then put into bottles (not included) for another week, during which time natural carbonation takes place. No carbon-dioxide cartridges are needed to enhance sparkle or beer head. A dozen plastic bottle caps printed with the Mr. Beer logo are also included, as well as an instruction booklet full of brewing tips and recipes. What a fun product. It only takes about an hour to brew your own masterpiece. It is much less expensive than buying beer in the stores AND it tastes much better!

Really easy to use product. Comes with direct and detailed instructions and an informative, well written, pamphlet. The most time consuming task was sterilizing the equipment and the most difficult is waiting for the fermentation to finish. The name Mr Beer seems kind of shallow and cheap, but you'll be surprised at how good the beer is and because of the quality and ease of making the product, you really want to try out or experiment with their other varieties!

I recently purchased this kit in july. After reading as much as I could on the Mr Beer kit for about two weeks I had seen two views. One that the beer is great, and the other that it comes out bad or the Mr Beer kits dont have good brews. Well Im vouching for myself as I have just drank two of some of the best beers I have ever had. The kit Mr Brew provides you with in this is a pale ale, its smooth and light in taste and should appeal to about 90% of beer drinkers as a good tasting beer.
The BIGGEST MISTAKE people make with this is that they are not sanitary. This is the only way they do not end up with great tasting beer. So I highly recommend this kit and say that when you do decide to do this, OVER sanitize everything rather than not enough. Take your time to read the instructions in advance, and have everything prepared and be organized. I let my mix sit in the keg for 10 days at 75-77 degrees. Then I prepared the bottles and added EXACTLY the right amount of table sugar to each bottle and then poured the fermented beer in the bottles and capped them. I let those sit in the same dark room for two weeks(14 days) again at 75-77 degrees. THEN I put the entire box into the fridge for a third week to give it a nice cold lager. The longer you wait with the carbonating beer the better it will taste. SO get the kit, TAKE YOUR TIME AND SANITIZE PROPERLY AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I bought this item for my husband as an early birthday gift. He really enjoyed making the beer and was impressed with the results. Very smooth beer with no aftertaste. I would recommed this to anyone who enjoys a fun project and an occasional beer on those hot days.
