Amazon.com Review With 100 shapes to choose from, this cookie cutter set offers kids the perfect combination of fun and education. Placing the cutters in their various categories, for example, is a playful exercise that teaches abstract logic and builds confidence. Categories include letters, numbers, geometric forms, animals, plants, vehicles, symbols (such as a dollar sign and a question mark), seasonal themes, and miscellaneous shapes such as an umbrella and a bell. The cutters are formed of stiff, durable plastic, are colorful and fascinating enough to be used outside the kitchen, and are dishwasher-safe. A tip to grandparents: keep this set handy as a special treat, unique to your home, for little visitors. --Fred Brack

Bought For Another, Buying Another For Myself January 7, 2009 Amber Sims I bought this as a birthday present for my sister last year. We have the best memories of making cookies with our grandmother, and my sister had just recently got into baking. This cookie cutter set launched me into the Sister Hall of Fame. She absolutely loves them. The tiny details do have a tendency to get stuck on a few of the cutters, but flouring or spraying Pam on the cutters should do the trick. As for shipping, I didn't have a single problem. The cookie cutters arrived in the same package as the other items I had purchased for her. For certain, a smart purchase, and definitely one I'll be making for myself soon.
Something for everyone August 31, 2008 Margaret A. Barton (Tehachapi, CA) This set of cookie cutters has a little bit of everything...animals, letters, numbers, planes, trains and automobiles, geometric shapes...something for every occassion. My kids and I just love it!
cookie cutters August 13, 2008 Keli i have only used these cookie cutters and besides a few that are hard to get the pieces out, i have no complaints. they come in a good variety of shapes which is also very useful, not an over abundance of just holiday shapes. i love that there is the alphabet and all the numbers.
Cookie Nutters For You! May 26, 2008 Bartok Kinski (Prague) 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
This set of cookie cutters comes in a handy black office style case which is convenient if you want to take it all to a senile Grandmas' house to bake cookies or shape mud. Many fun designs include pigs, body parts, birds, Halloween shapes and others. Made of Plastic aluminum and does not rust. A worthy addition to any kitchen or madman's house.
The sizes vary a lot, some have built-in imprints/embossing March 8, 2008 R. Anderson (Waipahu, HI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got these a while ago but I haven't used them for cookies yet. The sizes range quite a bit. The shapes are the largest, and the letters and numbers are the smallest. The letters and numbers are bigger than the Howard's bugs cookie cutters. There are built-in imprints on some of the cutters. These are so that when you cut the cookie, there will be an imprint of the cutter design on it. Because of the imprint part, should the dough get stuck, you will have problems getting it out. My husband took some to use with playdoh and he really liked the ice cream cone, which has a nice cone criss-cross imprints. It worked okay with the playdoh. I think the best way to avoid problems to is make sure your dough is rolled the right thickness, and that it is firm enough to hold together, but has enough "fat" in it to not stick to the cutter. I would suggest spraying the cutters with PAM to help it not stick, and very lightly flouring the top surface of the rolled out dough before cutting. I like that these are plastic and that you can put them in the dishwasher. It would be pain to handwash all of them, especially if there is dough stuck in the imprint parts. I did handwash them when I first got them, and that took a while. I also dried them by hand then left them out to finish up drying. They don't rust so that is another good thing. There are several different themes with these cutters, so you can make cookies year round for the holidays. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentines, Halloween, shapes, things that move (airplane, helicopter, boat, etc), animals, sports, numbers, letters, the musical note, and other symbols like the question mark round out the versatility of the cutters. I think there is also a a guitar if I recall correctly. For the price you can't go wrong as there is 100 cutters here. Even if you don't use them much, it's still a good value. I think you could use them for fondant too.
