These simple devices (why didn't I think of that!) create pretty, as-easy-as-pie pastries. On one side of a press is a beveled edge for cutting rounds from rolled-out dough. Turn the press over, place the dough round on the sealing "teeth," and pat it into the concave form. Spoon filling into the center, moisten the edges of the round for a proper seal, fold the press, and--bingo!--out comes a uniformly crimped pastry ready for steaming, frying, or baking. This helped me make lovely cherry turnovers and two calzones before it broke. The hinges are held together by very cheap plastic. If they break you are out of luck.

It was shipped so quickly and have since used it once a week! I didnt think the presses would hold up being that they are plastic but they are strong! Dont hesitate to buy this product it is great!

I like making turnovers but always had trouble getting the filling in the dough without seeing it leak out because the surface I was using was too flat. These dough presses work great, the only trick to using them is to keep them dusted with flour so the dough doesn't stick to them. Otherwise they are handy and quick to use to make all my favorite fruit turnovers.
